Who is watching whom?

Somewhere on the road to a more open, accountable government, the Joint Commission on Public Ethics has lost its constitutional bearings. JCOPE, which commendably wants to unmask the many ways that special interests try to influence government from the shadows, ventured this week into a whole new area that, in effect, would regulate the press.
